About Michelle
Michelle received her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2013 from St. Charles Community College. She later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Maryville University in 2018.
Michelle Hess, BSN, RN, Legal Nurse Consultant
Michelle worked as a bedside nurse in the Intensive Care Unit until she found her passion in emergency/trauma nursing and began working in the Emergency Department. Michelle spent the majority of her bedside nursing career caring for patients of all ages who suffered from simple bumps and bruises, traumatic injuries, cardiac/respiratory arrest, and everything in between.
Michelle became a member of The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, completed their Legal Nurse Consulting Professional Course, and began her career with Equitable Medical Legal Consultants, LLC in October 2018. Since then, she has provided a myriad of legal nurse consulting services to our clients including but not limited to: record retrieval and organization, merit review, medical chronologies, medical billing itemization and summaries, construction and presentation of demonstrative evidence, and expert referrals.
In her free time, Michelle and her husband travel the Midwest and participate in competitive bird hunting off horseback with their bird dogs. She enjoys spending time with her husband and animals on their farm in Iowa where she has lived and worked remotely since 2019.
